Visit by NTC Team

Team of National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC), led by its MD, visited Survey of Pakistan (SoP) on 17 February 2026 to discuss follow up actions and ascertaining Way Forward on the various possible areas of collaboration discussed during last meeting. During the meet, MD NTC assured full support for establishment of fiber optic connectivity between the four regional offices of SoP and Survey Training Institute (STI) with HQ SoP. NTC also agreed to incorporate SoP’s request of establishing connectivity of 16 Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) with its data center being established at HQ SoP while ensuring required cyber security measures to safeguard sensitive geospatial data and uninterrupted services.

Surveyor General of Pakistan extended his full support to NTC for development of a comprehensive geospatial layer for copper and fiber networks of NTC in the country. In this regard, both organizations agreed to initiate a pilot project which will subsequently be integrated with Pak-NSDI framework once established in the country
