Meeting with Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA)

Chairman NHA called on Surveyor General of Pakistan at his office on 23 December 2025. During the meeting, prospects of technical cooperation in the development of 3D Digital Twin models, high-resolution geospatial databases and modern surveying and mapping solutions to support national infrastructure development of NHA were discussed. Emphasis was laid on leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, LiDAR and digital terrain modeling to enhance planning, design, monitoring and maintenance of highways and allied infrastructure projects.

During SoP’s brief to Chairman NHA, the importance of accurate, up-to-date spatial data for efficient decision-making and sustainable infrastructure development was highlighted. Chairman NHA agreed to enhance NHA’s collaboration with SoP. The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to strengthen inter-agency coordination in order to support national development goals through modern, data-driven and technology-enabled solutions
