Soft Data
Survey of Pakistan (SoP) offers services to collect, develop, and deliver geospatial data using Total Station, GPS, Digital Photogrammetry, and map digitization through its highly professional trained staff spread all over the country. The data is served in ESRI Shapefile format, as well as formats specific to client systems.
Capacity Building
SoP provides technical training up to diploma level in survey and mapping at the Survey Training Institute (STI), Islamabad. STI organizes regular courses of varying durations in surveying and mapping disciplines for both departmental and extra-departmental candidates.
Mapping
SoP provides a range of services in conventional and multimedia digital cartography, preparing high-quality maps including topographic maps, thematic maps, and guide maps in any projection and coordinate system. SOP also has a printing press using both conventional and latest CMYK printing techniques.
Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
SoP offers updated geospatial datasets using Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing technologies. The department is enriched with latest resources including UAVs with Oblique and LiDAR sensors, workstations and cutting edge software package to produce multi-variant products/ services. These services include geo-referenced imagery, terrain information in the form of DTMs & its derivatives, 3D Maps, Orthomosaics at resolution ranging from 2 cm to 5 cm, products derived of image analysis & land use classifications, etc
